We left Honfleur at 4:30 this morning and arrive at the airport around 7:45, find the RER train to take us into Paris. An eventful trip. I foiled an attempt to steal Gary’s backpack. The thief had it in his hand and was getting up to leave the train, I grabbed it out of his hand.
We arrived in the middle of Paris in the rain, found our hotel, checked our bags and went for a long walk around the area. This what I love most about Paris – the beautiful buildings, the streets packed with people, the cafes with people sitting outside enjoying their coffee or wine. There are still a lot of smokers in Paris, but now they have to be outside. So all the cafes have an outdoor area, with an awning and heaters.
We had dinner at a cafe nearby and early night.

Hi Pat & Gary
Well look at you…… Wonder Woman to the rescue ( ha ha ).
I think that pickpocketing and trying to steal your luggage is a given in most European cities.
It happened to us in Paris and also Florence.
Got to keep your wits about you at all times.
I love the busy people filled streets too.
Hope the weather clears for the rest of your stay.
Fran
There must be something about the look of you two. Your shoes were stolen in India, your passports were stolen in Florence (I think) & now this! It must be a message……..STAY HOME!!
Good thing you are keeping a eye on your stuff.
