Paris, October10, 2014

A busy day. We started out at Les Invalids and spent most of our time there in the cathedral and Napoleon’s tomb. After that we went for a cruise on the river. Our next stop was Sacre Coeur. There was a mob of people on Sacre Coeur, it turned out to be the start of some wine & food festival. So we had some wine, a crepe filled with sugar and Grand Marnier ( a generous helping of Grand Marnier!) and topped all that off with some apple tarts made with Armagnac. There was music, buskers, many booths with escargot in a butter sauce, cheeses, sausages, all kinds of wine and champagnes. The diet will restart once we are home!
