We arrived here Thursday morning to a dull rainy day. The half hour drive to the centre took us close to Hudson Bay, passing by lots of granite rock formations, stunted trees in “tree islands”
The country side is barren and bleak and the accommodations are somewhat better. Luckily we have a room to ourselves – normally it is dorms with 4 to a room ( boys and girls in different rooms).
Meals are also basic, cafeteria style with guests, serving themselves, cleaning their own plates and helping with general clean up after meals. Plus we prepare our own bag lunch for the next day.
Tonight we have a lecture on the Polar Bears and tomorrow we are off hunting bears!
